The whole medical practice is always spotlessly clean and efficiently run. Everyone who works there goes out of their way to be helpful, friendly and accommodating. I have never had a bad experience there and would recommend it to anyone.
Thank you for your thoughtful comments. We aim to build on this and to continue to provide excellent care with your help and co operation and are happy to hear constructive suggestions for improvement.
Only way to get an appointment is to actually go to the surgery.
Received a phone appointment from one of the doctors as there was a concern with my blood test results. Doctor just said certain reading where ooutside the mormal range and I was to modify my diet and come for another blood test in a few months. Dr did not give me any advise on what foods should be avoided or where to find further information, felt like the Dr just wanted to get off the phone. When I checked online at my blood results I also noticed that iron levels were below normal readings, Dr never mentioned this at all.
Not sure where to get the correct information.
The telephone appointments are to enable patients to seek advice without necessarily having to book a face to face appointment. It is very helpful for people on the move who find it difficult/ do not always feel the need to be seen face to face at the practice. It is also another valuable appointment option. Please do come forward and we shall be pleased to help you get the correct information.
The appointment system does not work, I called this morning at 8.10 where I was 29 in the cue 25 minutes later I finally get through where there are no appointments available today. If it was not urgent to see a doctor I would not of waited in a cue for 25 minutes to get an appointment. Over the last 3 months I have not been able to get an appointment, I am having to utilise other avenues to try and find out what is wrong. This is an absolute disgrace to not be able to see a GP to have medical support to see what is going on, what ever happened to duty of care and human basic rights.
We are extremely sorry to hear that you were unable to get an appointment. There are appointments available with a duty doctor every day who can triage your call and advise on a course of action. These triage appointments are designed to help those who are unable to attend initially or busy people on the move and those who cannot attend at allocated times. Balancing the appointment system between those who need to attend and those who book and then do not attend is a fine line. We get on average 130 -150 people who do not attend weekly. This makes it difficult for those who genuinely need an appointment. Please do come forward so your needs can be suitably addressed.
The phone for an appointment the same day only system is useless! On numerous occasions when calling at 08:00 i was 25+ in the queue therefore unable to get a timeslot anywhere near a time when i could get to the surgery. Thinking of changing doctors as this system is not working.
The call queue is handled by a team of at least 5-6 of receptionists who aim to get the queue down quickly. There is facility on the telephone system for up to 30 incoming calls. Every morning the call board logs the number of people on the line. This averages around 30 callers at 08.00a.m. daily. This explains why if 30 people all ring at 08.00a.m they may be in the queue position 1-30 despite thinking they rang first. The 30 call queue is brought down and calls usually answered within 10 -15 minutes. There are numerous same day telephone appointments for the duty doctor in addition to face to face appointments daily. Please be patient and your call will be dealt with.
